Our Vision

By the grace of God, Beacon Community Church just celebrated our 2nd anniversary. In the past two years, our church has grown and our current space is already reaching 75-80% capacity. According to some studies, “When a church building reaches eighty percent of its capacity, it is effectively saturated and growth will cease.” Therefore, we have been praying for a new gathering location, and God has shown us a possible site in December 2024.

On Feb 9, 2025, Church Council made a motion to start a building fund pledge. After 2 weeks of voting, the motion was passed. The pledge for purchasing the new site has now started and will end on March 29, 2025.

FAQs

1. When will our lease end at the current location?

June 2026.

2. What kind of site are we looking for?

a) Close to our existing place as much as possible. In the city of Mission Viejo, Laguna Hills, or Lake Forest area.

b) Place to meet with 200-300 people, along with classrooms for expansion.

3. Where is this potential property?

Acero, Mission Viejo. This used to be a Social Security Building and has been vacant for the past couple of years. It’s a 2-story building with 11,500 sq. ft. The owner is planning to sell this property in March 2025.

4. What do we need to do now?

a) PRAY. We truly believe that if this is what God wants us to go, He will lead the way. As a group of “Dynamic Christians”*, we always need to be ready to go where He calls us to go. We are praying for unity and asking God to give us the vision about this future site. May His will be done!

b) PARTICIPATE. We have started the pledging process.

c) VOTE. There will be a 2nd voting after the pledge period.

5. Based on the final pledge number, what is our next action?

a) We will decide whether to proceed with the purchase of this property.

b) Whether we will have enough to pay for the property or need to take out a loan from a financial institute. This decision will be presented to the members for the 2nd round voting.

6. If the vote is affirmative to purchase the building, when do we start collecting the fund?

The funding period will begin on April 14th for a two-week period before we can make the offer.

7. How long will it take to move in after we make the purchase?

With the building concept, structural, interior, architect, mechanical designs, renovation, application for the Conditional Use Permit (CUP), and furniture purchase, etc., the whole process can take up to 1.5-2 years before we can use the facility.

Let's Pray for:

  • Unity in Christ

  • Continue to spread the gospel/mission

  • May His will be done

Trust in the Lord with all your heart; do not depend on your own understanding. Seek his will in all you do, and he will show you which path to take.
