Pastor Martin Chan, Lead Pastor
Pastor Martin was born and raised in Hong Kong. He accepted Jesus Christ as his personal savior in a summer camp in 7th grade. Martin was called by the Lord to full time ministry. He graduated with a Master of Divinity at Gateway Seminary in May 2017.
In 2018, he started serving as a Cantonese/English Minister at Chinese Baptist Church of Central Orange County (CBCCOC). In 2021, he received a vision to plant a new church. In 2022, Martin was ordained as a pastor and was sent by CBCCOC to start Beacon Community Church in Mission Viejo.
Martin is happily married to his wife, Jenny. They have two sons, Ethan and Seth. Aside from family and ministry, Martin’s greatest passions are music, running, and cooking.

Pastor Paul Cho, English Pastor
Pastor Paul Cho serves as the English Pastor at Beacon Community Church. He is currently completing his Master of Divinity at Gateway Seminary and was ordained in May 2022.
Before joining Beacon, Paul served for eleven years as a Youth Pastor and English Ministry Pastor. Through those years, God shaped his heart for preaching God’s Word, discipling the next generation, and walking alongside people through different seasons of life. Paul desires to see people know Christ deeply, grow in faith, and live as faithful witnesses of the gospel in their everyday lives.
Paul is happily married to his wife, Miki. They have a daughter, Miyu, and a son, Asher. Aside from family and ministry, Paul enjoys soccer, organizing and designing spaces, good coffee, meaningful conversations, and seeing people grow in Christ.
